So You Think You Can Dance?

Not really. I don’t think I can dance at all. That is why I enrolled in a Hip-Hop Funk class at Vanderbilt. The first class was this week and let me tell you what…I looked ridonkulous. But the instructor was very upbeat and fun, and Susanna and I just had a total blast! I have already practiced my moves and can’t wait until the next session. Hopefully, some folks will beg out because with 52 bodies in a dance studio hip-hoppin around, it gets a little stuffy. Not to mention, when a move calls for “kickin’ it out”, best believe I gonna need a little space.
Watch out! I’m gonna bust a move the next chance I get! However, it might look a little out of place if the next chance I get happens to be downtown at a honky tonk.

Step Off, Home Slice!

That’s right, I’m talkin’ to you, else we gonna have a dance off. That’s right, I said, “DANCE OFF”. See, I just get signed up for a hip-hop funk dance class and I’ll show you if you give me any lip. I’ll go all Julia Stiles in Save the Last Dance on yo ass. Sit back, hilarity is sure to ensue.

Facebook = Wastebook

Did you know that the fastest growing Facebook demographic are individuals older than age 25?
Did you know that the average amount of time a person spends on Facebook is 20 minutes?
I am older than that and (sadly!) spend more time on it than that. OMG! What is my world becoming? In all seriousness, I was just wondering why no one had poked me or messaged me in like 12 hours. SAD SAD SAD.
New goal: stop screwing around on that stupid thing and put more effort into my personal goals – like figuring out Twitter, reading more non-fiction, career, etc. JEEZ!

Wedding Highlight

Here is my good friend Jen throwing her bouquet…and her friends fighting over it. HILARIOUS American tradition.

I wish the lighting had been better. Oh well – as soon as I upgrade my personal computer, I’ll be getting a video camera. You know, just so I have one more thing to schlep around on my travels. 😀

Umm, cute.

Nothing says good taste and prestige like a diamond encrusted skull.
Elegant, refined, just shy of terrifying…

BlogDay, T-Minus 5 days and counting

Are you ready for BlogDay 2007??

What is BlogDay?

BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog visitors.
With the goal in mind, on this day every blogger will post a recommendation of 5 new blogs. This way, all blog readers will find themselves leaping around and discovering new, previously unknown blogs. I already have mine picked out!!

BlogDay posting instructions:

1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending them as part of BlogDay 2007
3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a link to the recommended Blogs
4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link: and a link to the BlogDay web site at

YAY, bloggers! Be prepared for a fun opportunity to learn about blogs all around the world!

Pile of Poo

Hilariousness! When coming to my blog people have used this popular search term today: “Pile of Poo” or “healthcare pile of poo”…Inneresting…

Cambo Speaking of, my cousin (left) taught me how to play a funny game: Poodolla, or Poo Dolla. This is how you play:

Take a dollar bill (this is of course a hypothetical game because it is a felony to ruin American money) and put poo (yours, a dog’s, whatever, it doesn’t matter) on the back side. Place the dollar poo-side down on a side walk. Hide. Watch when people pick up the poo dolla. Try not to give away hiding place by laughing too loudly.
